about

"Don’t Believe The Aliens" has the vibe of having one foot in a dream world and the other in this reality. Limbo in an in-between place where you struggle to tell the dream from reality. It compares 2020 to a piece of surrealist art. Bombarded with so many views, so many end time prophecies, so many crazy angles on social media and the news, some nightmarish and some dreamy, the song expressed a deep longing for freedom and peace but also something safe and familiar in a world that’s all of a sudden unrecognisable.

lyrics

Code, blood and dreams
Horses and the wind
Nothing is what it seems
What I want is to be free

Open up my chest
Resuscitate my heart
To know your name
Is to know everything

Don’t believe the aliens
Do you think it is the end
Drink it down until it dies
(Drink it down)

Snow came on on a summer's day
Do you think they’re gonna stay?
Run until you can fly

The skies a painful shade
I never have seen
Something so beautiful

If I had to breathe
My final breath today
I think I’d be okay

Saw you in a dream
Memories alive
Deep inside
My blood

Of a place where there’s
No violence and no hate
It’s time for me
To go back again

Don’t believe the aliens
Do you think it is the end
Drink it down until it dies
(Drink it down)

Snow came on a summer's day
Do you think they’re gonna stay?
Run until you can fly

Don’t believe the aliens
Do you think it is the end
Drink it down until it dies
(Drink it down)

Snow came on a summer's day
Do you think they’re gonna stay?
Run until you can fly

Don’t believe
